ENERGY WORKSHOP & LIGHT BULB EXCHANGE
SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2008
10 AM - 3 PM
FORESTBURGH FIREHOUSE
Did you know.....
By changing the 5 fixtures used most to compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), you use up to 2/3 less energy and they last 6-10 times longer than traditional bulbs.
Low-flow showerheads and faucets can reduce the amount of hot water used per day by ½.
*********
The Forestburgh Green Committee invites you to attend the workshop and learn how to conserve energy and save $$$$$ in the process.
There will be demonstrations, displays, and presentations by the NYS Dept. of Public Service, Mid-Hudson $mart Communities, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County, Sullivan Renaissance - to name a few - covering such topics as recycling, grants/funding for residential energy improvements, geothermal heating/cooling, green cleaning products, and many other “green” topics.
Let’s celebrate Earth Day as a community!
